The 33-minute long Sister Rose’s Passion celebrates Sister Rose Thering (1920-2006), O.P., Ph.D. and Seton Hall University professor emerita. The film explores Sister Rose’s role in combating anti-Semitism, and her life’s work in moving the Catholic Church and Catholic educational materials away from anti-Semitic teachings. Sister Rose’s Passion, a 2005 Academy Award nominated documentary short and winner of the 2004 Tribeca Film Festival Best Documentary Short Film, presents archival footage and interviews with Jewish activists, Catholic clergy and Sister Rose herself.

 Deborah Lerner Duane is a TSTI Congregation member and immediate past chair of the Sister Rose Thering Fund for Education in Jewish-Christian Studies at Seton Hall University.
