Topic: You’ve Been There Too! Linking Jewish & LGBTQ Experience to Build a Welcoming Community

Ever wonder why there are so many letters in LGBTQIA, or how to use gender-neutral pronouns? Come enjoy this easy, welcoming session on how to support people of all genders and orientations. While topics like gender and sexuality can seem challenging, this session makes them approachable instead. It especially highlights the common ground between Jewish and LGBTQ experience. For example, many straight Jewish people sometimes struggle with closeting or explaining their Jewish identity, like LGBTQ do. By exploring these overlaps, we’ll all learn how to better support our friends and family who are LGBTQIA.

Dinner fee is $25 member/$36 non-member. Dinner fee received less than seven days prior to the event is $36/member and $45/non-member if seats are available.
