DESCRIPTION:The Gallery at TSTI: Artist Talk \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStrangers in a Strange Land\, the current exhibit from the Gallery at TSTI\, portrays immigration from the perspective of the immigrants themselves as they grapple with discrimination\, economic survival\, psychological trauma and legal uncertainties. Many did not choose to flee\, but were forced because of war\, violence or persecution\, often without warning or the ability to return. \nThe six participating artists—Pam Cooper\, Anne Dushanko Dobek\, Mansa Mussa\, Ibou Ibrahim Ndoye\, Danielle Scott\, and Agnieszka Wszolkowaka—weave a complex tapestry of the immigration experience.
