On March 11, 2019 word of the Sars-CoV-2 was declared a Pandemic.  My husband and I were in Florida on vacation.  As an Art Photographer, I typically shoot with a heavy camera and lens.  However, a prior injury from a fall prevented me from using that camera.  I began clicking with my iPhone throughout the months ahead with the thought that I could turn my photos into books, as memories for our younger grandchildren.  As the months went by the Art Committee for the Temple Art Gallery gradually formed an exhibit whereby members of the congregation could participate.  That is when “Behind the Mask” was born.  I collected photos representing daily life as we knew it both in Florida and here at home.  It amazed me how much fun it was and an actual distraction of the Covid Virus, to do this project.  The slideshow starts off with a photo of my son, a Surgeon and Administrator at Mt Sinai, Nassau. He was and continues to be our reality check.  The music and the TikTok (created by my granddaughter) became a challenge but luckily, I was able to use the music of Cantor Rebecca Moses.  Please enjoy the journey.
