Make a Tribute Donation

Sending a tribute card is a wonderful way to let someone know that you are thinking about them, offer a hearty Mazel Tov, mark a milestone or offer condolences. “Tributes” sent out by the temple on your behalf, are a loving way to support important programming at TSTI. (Please see list of funds below.)

The minimum donation is $18 for the temple office to process, stamp and mail out a Tribute card. There is a Senior Discount minimum donation of $10 per tribute (age 65+).

Each of these separate Clergy Discretionary Funds is used at each clergyperson’s discretion.

Assists Youth Group activities
Enables Temple to offer innovative musical programs
Provides enrichment opportunities for seniors in our temple and community
Finances cultural activities at TSTI
Provides supplemental enrichment and educational programs and materials as well as scholarships for our Preschool
For perpetual maintenance, repairs and renovations of our TSTI Sanctuary pulpit and its extensions
Humanities fund for music and art
For Confirmation Class award
To further educate our Religious school students, our members and to support community-wide events
Underwrites a number of special and ongoing programs of particular interest to young families
For programs on bereavement
and programs and gestures of comfort
For the support of appreciation and advancement of all phases of music and art
Provides financial assistance to Bar/Bat Mitzvah students with learning difficulties who are in need of special instruction in addition to their regular class programs
Brings the full benefits of technology to the congregation
For lectures, adult education and programs designed by the Senior Rabbi(s)
Promotes adult educational experiences in the field of Judaism
To maintain and replace prayer books. $36+ will ensure an inscription.
Provides scholarships to worthy individuals for various educational experiences to be determined by the Rabbi(s)
To underwrite enrichment programs not part of the normal Religious School curriculum and provide scholarships for Jewish camping, weekend conclaves and trips to Israel
Helps support various social action programs and activities
Provides scholarships for Confirmation Class trip to Israel
Provides taxi service to and from temple for members who are independently mobile but are unable to drive themselves
For maintenance of Tree of Life sculpture in our Sanctuary lobby
Provides partial tuition for Reform Jewish camping and travel experiences for elementary and high school students
Collaboration among four congregations —Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel, Congregation Beth El, Christ Church Short Hills, and Congregation B’nai Jeshurun. A volunteer, supplemental food pantry helping to meet essential human needs of food-insecure neighbors.
