Terezín: Propaganda and Witness
Wednesday, November 11, 7–8:30 p.m.
For more than two decades, Batel has dedicated himself to researching the Terezín Ghetto and preserving the stories of those who lived through it. His work is grounded in extensive interviews with Holocaust survivors, archival research, and long-term relationships with survivor communities. His research examines not only the suffering of Jews imprisoned in Terezín, but also the complex human stories, acts of courage, and mechanisms of Nazi propaganda and deception that shaped the ghetto.
