2025 High Holy Days: Coats, Canned Tuna, and Donations Needed

During the High Holy Days, TSTI provides our community with the opportunity to support the Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges (IFPO). There is currently a great need is for winter coats for adults and children. Please donate new or gently used (clean and wearable) coats for adults and children. (No winter accessories, please.) The IFPO will be hosting a coat distribution for its food pantry clients. The goal is to collect 1,400 coats, in order to distribute two coats for each family. Too many of our neighbors struggle to meet basic needs. People take having a coat for granted—until they don’t have one to shield themselves from the elements. Please donate and share the warmth with community members in need.

While the primary need is for coats, IFPO also needs hearty canned protein (tuna, chicken, etc.). Other types of food donations are NOT needed at this time.

The most meaningful ways you can help during the High Holy Days are by:

  1. bringing new or gently used coats for adults and children
  2. bringing 5oz cans of protein items, such as tuna or chicken
  3. bring $20 ShopRite gift cards
  4. make a donation directly to the IFPO at orangesfoodpantry.kindful.com (select the campaign “High Holy Day Fund”)
