Travel Opportunities to Israel
Right now there are many TSTI members who are looking for meaningful ways to go to Israel, to learn, to witness, to volunteer. We are committed to helping as many members as possible get to Israel at this very important time.
July or December 2024
Rabbi Cohen is researching trip options at the beginning of July. He is also planning a trip for December 2024. If you are interested in either trip, please let Jodi know.
Email your Senators, Congressperson, and State Representatives
In this critical time while the future of Israel is threatened, we see an alarming rise in antisemitism across the world. We want to garner our collective voices to reach out to our representatives, both national and local, to support Israel and combat antisemitism in all forms.
The Anti-Defamation League has resources we can use. We urge you to look at their website and sign on to the action alerts provided there, and take these actions with us:
- Tell our Senators to call for the immediate release of all hostages in Gaza. Join ADL in urging our Senators to support a resolution demanding Hamas immediately release all hostages, by clicking here. You can email Senator Booker’s office here and Senator Menendez here. Please thank them for supporting Israel and ask them to continue to fight antisemitism in all forms. Here is a sample of what you can write:
Thank you for continuing to support Israel and condemning Hamas for their brutal attack on innocent civilians. We value your ongoing support for the release of all hostages to return them safely to their families, and also in combating antisemitism here in the United States. Your leadership during this difficult time is deeply appreciated.
Sincerely, [Your Name, Town]
- Contact your Congressional Representative to support the bipartisan STOP HATE Act and to combat all forms of antisemitism. The ADL link is here. You can also email your Representative. If you know that they support Israel (e.g. Mikie Sherrill), please THANK THEM for that. If you do not know who your Representative is, you can enter your zip code at this website to identify your Congressional Representative. Here is a sample of what you can write:

- Local support to combat antisemitism is also important. Contact your State Senator and your 2 Assembly Representatives to urge them to combat antisemitism in all forms here in New Jersey. You can identify your state legislative district by entering your home address here. Once you have the District, you can reach your Representative through this link. Here is a sample of what you can write:
My name is [your first and last name] and I live in [town]. I am writing to ask that you support legislation to combat antisemitism here in New Jersey in ALL Forms, including in the press, on social media and on college campuses. Jewish residents of New jersey are facing unparalleled levels of antisemitic attacks, and your protection and support is critical at this time. Thank you.
