Strangers in a Strange Land, a new exhibit from the Gallery at TSTI, portrays immigration from the perspective of the immigrants themselves as they grapple with discrimination, economic survival, psychological trauma and legal uncertainties. Many did not choose to flee, but were forced because of war, violence or persecution, often without warning or the ability to return.
Together, the six participating artists weave a complex tapestry of the immigration experience.
